Judith is the Learning and Study Support Coordinator at QUT. This role spans strategic, administrative and operational facets of the Library’s learning services and study support for students. The portfolio encompasses frontline and consultation services, physical and virtual learning programs, faculty-specific curriculum design/development and assessment (embedded learning), learning resource development, staffing and staff capacity building, and quality review and evaluation. The Learning and Study Support Coordinator engages widely in initiatives relating to First Year Experience, graduate capabilities, assessment and curriculum, widening participation, and enhancing the student experience. Judith actively contributes to the scholarship and practice of information literacy, academic literacy and student learning through publication and national and international committee representation and consultancy. Her professional interests focus upon the changing role of the academic librarian in higher education, and the nexus between information literacy, teaching, learning, assessment and successful graduate outcomes. In 2007, Judith received a National Carrick Teaching Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and an ALTC Teaching Excellence Award/Programs that Enhance Learning (Category: Flexible Learning and Teaching) in 2008.
